We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and information from third-party sources such as Apple HealthKit.
a) Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Profile Information: Lifestyle details you choose to share, including whether you work from home, have children, your sleep schedule, fitness level, and wellness goals.
- Routine & Schedule Data: Daily tasks, routine items, schedules, and completion status that you create within the app.
- Goal Data: Goals you set, categories you choose, target values, and progress updates.
- AI Coach Conversations: Messages and prompts you send to the AI Coach feature.
- Communications: Email address submitted via our waitlist or contact forms.
b) Health & Fitness Data (HealthKit)
With your explicit permission, Thrive may access health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit, including:
- Step count and activity data
- Heart rate and workout data
- Sleep analysis data
- Active energy burned and calories
- Water intake logs
Important: Health data accessed through HealthKit will never be used for advertising, marketing, or sold to third parties. It is used solely to provide and improve your in-app experience, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
c) Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Features you use, screens you visit, actions you take within the app, and time spent.
- Log Data: IP address, app crash reports, and diagnostic data.
- Notification Data: Whether you enable or disable push notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Thrive app and its features
- Personalize your daily schedule and AI-generated routines
- Send push notifications for scheduled routine events
- Track and display your goal progress and streaks
- Power the AI Coach feature to generate personalized recommendations
- Send you waitlist and launch updates (only with your consent)
- Improve, debug, and optimize the app experience
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, sell your data to third parties, or use your health data for any purpose other than providing the Service.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
- AI Services: Prompts sent to the AI Coach feature are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. No personally identifiable health data is included in these requests. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" option within the app under Profile → Settings

Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (see Section 4).
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- HealthKit: Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Thrive.
- Notifications: Disable push notifications at any time via iPhone Settings → Notifications → Thrive.
6. Children's Privacy
Thrive is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your device secure.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Apple Health, Apple Watch). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
9. International Users
Thrive is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you an in-app or email notification.
